Our Accolades, Higher Education, Conferences, and Titles

Over the course of our careers, we have been honored to receive recognition not only from our firm, but also some of the industry’s leading publications.
Managing Partners, Bill Whichard and John Woolard, have attended the annual Forbes/SHOOK Advisors Summit for the past three years, a forum providing insights tailored for advisors across America.

Both Bill and John were proud to be named to Forbes’ list of the Best-in-State Wealth Advisors in North Carolina from 2019 to 2023.

The Forbes Best-In-State Wealth Advisors rating algorithm is based on the previous year's industry experience, interviews, compliance records, assets under management, revenue and other criteria by SHOOK Research, LLC,. Investment performance is not a criterion. Self-completed survey was used for rating. This rating is not related to the quality of the investment advice and based solely on the disclosed criteria.
Bill and John have also been recognized by Wells Fargo Advisors as Platinum Council from 2004 to 2023.

The Platinum Council distinction is held by a select group of Financial Advisors within Wells Fargo Advisors as measured by completion of educational components, business production based on either of the past two years, and professionalism. Additional criteria, including length of service, may also be used to determine recipients.
Bill and John have attended the annual Barron’s Summit the last three years.

This invitation-only conference brings professionals from within the wealth management industry together to facilitate a free-flowing exchange of information, ideas and insights from the industry’s advisors – in the interest of raising the standards of excellence in the wealth management profession. Our advisors were honored to receive this invitation and attend.
John and Bill have received the title of Private Wealth Financial Advisor. In this capacity, the focus of their practice is on helping sophisticated clients, who have unique financial needs that often span generations.
